Dames at Sea tells the story of Ruby, who steps off a bus from Utah with nothing but a pair of tap shoes in her suitcase and enters into her first Broadway show. But hours before the opening night, the cast learns that their theater is being demolished. With the help of some adoring sailors and a few toe-tapping songs, Ruby and the cast live up to the motto, “The Show Must Go On!” even if it’s on a naval battleship.
